This charming plate is 11 1/4" across the gilded, pierced handles and is 10 3/4" wide in the plate area. In excellent condition with no chips, nicks, cracks and hairlines. The painting of the lilies floating on a lily pad is vibrant against the pale mint background and is in fine condition with no fading - there is only one thin, pale scratch at the 5 o'clock position near the artist's signature ("Dupont"). There is minimal wear to the gilding - ca. 5-10% at the edges of the handles. The very faded, green, underglaze "Z.S. & Co., Bavaria" mark dates to the late 1800s. There is also an overglaze, decorating mark in green script, "Studio Handpainted". Thanks for dropping in for a look around my shop!
