SOLD Exquisite Antique Nippon Scenic Vase, Cottage on Lake & Floral Medallions, Ornate Gold Floral Overlay, Beading, Mark #47

This beautiful vase stands 8 1/4" tall and is 6" across widest part. In excellent condition with no chips, nicks, cracks or hairlines. There is a small, white bubble in the glaze within the gold florals beneath the scenic medallion and stray, thin enamel line (ca. 1/3") at the 3 o'clock position on the beaded frame to that medallion. This is not a cracks but seems to have occurred when the nearby glided florals were being applied - a tiny bit from an errant brushstroke. There is no discernible paint wear to the medallions and no loss of beading. Gold wear to handles, rim and applied florals is minimal - ca. 5%. The vase is marked on the base with the M-in-wreath Hand Painted Nippon backstamp (Van Patten's #47) and dates to 1911-18. Thanks for taking time to visit my shop!
