SALE Lovely Limoges 6" Waste Bowl, Coral and Blue Wildflowers, 1910s-1940s

I also have a matching cake plate listed which would be a wonderful addition for this hard-to-find waste bowl. This bowl (alone or with the plate) would serve well at a buffet table for dips, mayonnaise, sauces, dessert toppings, etc. or as a rose or potpourri bowl. Delicate wildflowers with soft shades of tangerine, cornflower-blue and pale sage and with feathery brown stems and leaves decorate this elegant, egg-shell white bowl.

This footed bowl is in excellent condition with no chips, nicks, cracks or hairlines. Gold wear to the rim is minor - ca. 10%. The Limoges mark ("Limoges France" in a rectangles plus the word "Depose" and an initial "V" at the top) is unknown to me. Having searched through all the Gaston books, the mark has features comparable to those used by Vignaud Freres (1911-38), particularly the font/form of the "V".
