Such a lovely plate for holding scented soaps or to display on a wall or shelf! The watercolor-like treatment of the wispy clematis blooms is beautiful - cotton candy and blush pink with burgundy highlights for the flowers and moss-green leaves with forest green highlights. The rim is given a light treatment of brushed gold - lovely!

The central well of the plate is a bit deeper than normal and makes it perfect for holding soap, a bit of potpourri or special trinkets on the dresser.

Measures 6 1/2". In very good condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. Has the red overglaze, Theodore Haviland, Limoges France decorating mark (Gaston mark 34), dating this plate to early 1900s. Also has a fairly rare "Patent applied for" designation. Thanks for stopping in!
