Vintage Barricini Decorative Candy Tin, Wealthy Family Arrives in Style at Family Estate

It's difficult to tell whether this is meant to depict a Victorian family coming to visit the patriarch at his estate or a homecoming scene at an Antebellum plantation. The little girl's ruffled pantaloons under her hooped dress, the birdhouse (for martins?), the weeping willow trees (I think), and the pseudo-Classical, faux arches give it more of a southern U.S. feel, to me. Great colors and detailing - I love the matched, dapple grey horses and the smile on the coach driver's face.

Measures 8 3/4" x 2". Small dent at the 11 o'clock position near rim. In very good condition with minimal tarnishing along edges and seams and a few light patches of surface rust. Colors on the graphics are still bright. Thanks for stopping by!
