SALE Appealing M.Z. Austria (Moritz Zdekauer) 10 1/2" Scalloped, Molded 'Petal' Bowl, Pink Rose Garlands, early 1900s

The elegant shape and exquisite colors of this stunning, porcelain bowl will draw the eye of anyone who enters the room! A rare shade of aqua (or is it robin's egg blue?) runs along the softly pleated and finely scalloped rim. A molded tongue pattern of stylized acanthus leaves and rosettes lies parallel to the rim. Below the aqua band is an oh-so-feminine chain of floral sprays - cotton-candy and blush-pink roses with magenta highlights, sky-blue forget-me-nots, pale lavender violets and lots of greenery. A nice touch are the wisps of vines and stray blossoms which trail down across the verge - beautiful!

Measures 10 1/2" across and stands 2 3/4" tall. The complex rim and the flute-like folds of the walls give the illusion of an even larger bowl. In excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing - only has two tiny flaws: a pin-sized firing pop in the interior and a larger one (1/4") on the inside edge of base (please see photos).
