1972 Mother's Day Plate by Fenton

This plate is 7 1/2 inches across. The front has a raised floral border around the edge and a Madonna and a child in the center. The back is marked Fenton commemorating Mother's Day with a reproduction of "Madonna of the Goldfinch" painted in about 1760 by Giovanni Battieta Tiepolo, the last great master of the Venetian school of painting. No.2 in the annual series of Mother's Day plates by Fenton 1972.
