Stunning!...Monumental KPM Palace Vase

Presented here is a rare and very large KPM Palace vase w/ a hand painted floral medallion on one side and a scenic setting in front of a fireplace on reverse side. The medallions are 8" high and 7-1/2" wide; w/ the gilt surrounding the medallion height and width is 11"x11". The handles are 7" long to the top of winged nymph w/ bay leaves in hair. Width from handle to handle is approx 12". The top part of the vase sits on a heavy brass middle section, fashioned so that the lower base fits into this middle section for support. Top and Base are secured w/ a bolt. The brass section was designed and forged to fit upper body and base, due to a professional restoration of its middle. There is a chip on the porcelain, that fits into the brass section (pictured in one of the foto's). The vase stands 27-3/4" tall assembled. Upper half is 20" long, diameter of opening is 8", lower base w/ massive brass fitting is 7-3/4" high. The decoration on this piece is exquisite.
