Circa 1907. Exceptionally fine Limoge fish set. Fully marked by the well known Tressemann & Vogt, Mark #12. According to The Encyclopedia Of Limoge, this is a rarely seen mark. This set consists of a large platter with one large fish in the center on a white back round surrounded by a leafy gold border which I believe is a transfer print. In addition there are 9 matching plates, each decorated with one fish and a single shell which is different on each plate, also bordered with the same leafy print. Fresh from a local Brooklyn estate. Extremely good original condition, with a slight rubbing on some of the plates on the high edges of the leaf design where they rested upon each other. 24 1/4" wide x 10" tall platter, each plate has a 9 1/2" diameter. Price $1400 the set.
