Circa 1860. Fine, walnut banquet table in an unusual size and shape. This extra large oval table has seven leaves, which can be used in several different ways to change the table's size and shape. This table looks best with the leaves in and I believe it was designed to be left open. One 18" leaf is designed to be used by itself. The two additional support legs need not be used until the table is opened 9' or more. The carved, claw foot pedestal is large and yet graceful, with sinuous, flowing lines. Beautifully restored. 57 1/2" x 67 1/2" top x 31" tall closed. Opens to 12 1/2' (150").
