1950’s Still Tin Litho Amsco Shu-Shine Bank for Kiddies

This is a great older still tin litho bank shaped like a shoeshine kit circa 1950’s. There is a shoe slip footrest along the top of the kit for resting your potential customer’s shoe, while it is being shined. The bank is made of red tin and has a red plastic shoulder strap with metal loops on both sides. The center front has a decal of a young blond girl with her foot up on a shoeshine kit. A young boy is kneeling shining her shoe. Next to them “Shu-Shine Bank Amsco for Kiddies.” On one side of the bank is a coin slot with decal below showing a young boy and girl’s face with a dime, nickel and penny next to them. It is marked “Kiddie Shu-Shine Bank by Amsco.” The inside of the shoeshine kit is empty. There is some paint and decal loss as well as some surface rust, but it is a really wonderful older tin toy. The kit originally came with shoe polish, brush and cloth for $1.98 as seen in an older catalog. It measures 8 ¼” x 8 ¼” x 6”.
