This is an exquisitely detailed backcomb or chignon comb made of faux tortoise shell celluloid. It remains in excellent condition. The comb measures 6 inches in width and 6 ¼ inches in height. There are five prongs centered along the bottom. There are no markings, however it does test positive via hot water testing for celluloid.
