Vintage Shell Cameo Set in Sterling Brooch - Woman with Corsage

This beautiful hand carved shell cameo, set in sterling silver is simply stamped STERLING with no maker's mark to be seen. This lovely lady has windswept hair and a corsage at her shoulder.

The cameo is in excellent condition with no damage to be noted and no cracks. There are a few tiny black specks and I leave the cleaning choice up to her new owner as I am a minimalist, hands off type person myself. I replaced the pin stem which was broken when I got the piece. The rolling safety clasp and the pin stem mount are both original to the brooch. In the setting, it is almost 1-1/2" tall and 1-1/8" wide. The cameo itself is 1" tall by 3/4" wide and a snidge over 1/4" deeply curved.

This splendid brooch comes from my smoke free shop with no cats but 1 boxer dog supervising. And, of course, I will gladly accept Paypal, Google Checkout, money order or cashiers checks. Personal checks are also welcome from American buyers, drawn on American banks, with the proviso that there is a $20 charge if (and only if) they bounce. Insurance is required but is always included in the shipping which is by boxed first class mail.
