This 6 3/8" plate has a crisp image transfer printed in rich green. The plate feature a rope type border with a hand painted red line followed by the entire alphabet in the most wonderful typeset. The central image has the alphabet in sign language surrounding three charming children in period dress with the sea as a background. Fabulous !
This transfer in this color and condition, rarely seen on the market, will be a special abc plate in your collection.
Condition is marvelous. Clean and bright. Pearlware glaze.
Plates like these were given as gifts to children on special occasions and were used as educational tools, as well. A lovely addition to your ABC collection.
