c. 1840

This 3" high x 3 1/8" wide children's mug is transfer printed in a heavenly deep dark blue.

On one side is the letter ~ B ~ with a victorian dressed cow/bull riding a Bicycle or Bike. Beneath reads:

Bicycles Bring Bread to town

Bull the Baker takes it down

On the other side is the letter ~ E ~ with a circus Elephant walking the tightrope.

Beneath reads:

Elephants ac dance

On a TightRope

As well as a Man.

Clean and bright. Condition is EXCELLENT with normal imperfections associated with antique pottery mugs. Mugs like these were given as gifts to children on special occasions and were used as educational tools, as well. A lovely addition to your ABC collection.
