This is a book of 24 half tone photograph studies of the famous dancer Isadora Duncan by Arnold Genthe made during the 1915-1918 visit to America at the height of her career. Foreword by Max Eastman. Publisher: Mitchell Kennerley. New York and London, 1929. Black ribbed cloth over boards with titles and vignette in gilt. 4to. Photos printed on rectos (right side pages) only. No page numbers. Photos 1-10 are head shots; 11-24 posed recreation action shots. All photos approx. 5 7/8” X 7 ¼.” Cover excellent, only the most minor of rubbing and shelf wear. Pages are near pristine: unsoiled, no writing, no previous owner’s signature, faint staple marks on two opening blank pages. Missing original slipcase.
