Autumn is Here! Snuggle up with my vintage blankets quilts and bedspreads this Fall! Happy Thanksgiving!
Royal topped the typewriter world in 1930 when they offered fancy colors in order to target women and students. This new model portable offered a more attractive and wider range of duotone effects in full line of other colors, such as rich crimson, crinoline blue, and orchid pastel, a total of more than 500 combinations. For even more style, a customer could choose a new exclusive typeface appropriately called Vogue intended for social and personal correspondence. Though it looked nearly identical to its original portable design, the standard Portable of 1930 had hinged top covers designed to protect ribbon spools from dust. This one has the standard serif (pica) type face. It’s in beautiful condition, clean, types great, and has 2 extra sets of ribbons. Cover shows appropriate minor wear for its age. A relic of the early age of women's journalism, and a piece of sculpture to display proudly in your office, cubicle or home. A real antique writing machine, since no one knows what a typewriter is anymore. Well I do, and this is a beauty! But, it's a heavy machine. The shipping on this is my good and best estimate of the cost. Email me with any questions.
