Beautiful placement of cinnamon and double pinks and gingham fabrics from the late 19th early 20th century create an eight point star variation pattern. Exquisitely hand pieced and quilted with 6 to 7 stitches to the inch in a square 1 1/8" grid, it has light batting and a hand applied edge binding which is worn at the edge. Wonderful pattern, wonderful quilt! Unequal nine patch pattern called Hens and Chickens or Ducks and Ducklings in 1859 or also referred to as Wild Goose Chase. This beautiful quilt is hand pieced and elaborately hand quilted 8 to 9 stitches to the inch in a tight fan pattern.
