Impeccable Jewels with Exquisite Pearls, Sparkling Gemstones and Precious Metals
Because they are natural, there are minor chalk-white veins in certain of the beads. This is natural to Sleeping Beauty turquoise and demonstrative of the fact that they are not dyed. If they were, those inclusions would be the same blue as the stone. As one jeweler said when I showed him the first raw strand, "Those make them interesting, make them genuine."
This necklace is double-knotted on turquoise silk and each round is flanked by tiny solid 18k daisies. The bright yellow of 18k gold, often undervalued by American culture which celebrates the more muted tone of the lesser 14K, is like rays of sunshine piercing the sweet blue of a summer sky. The necklace ends with 18k gold drums and an 18k gold clasp. The clasp pictured here has fine granulation and is remarkably heavy; it may not be available again, but you will have your choice among several exquisite 18k gold clasps. Matching earrings on 18k gold, as seen in the photograph, are complementary. If you desire something more elaborate in an earring, the additional cost will depend on the design.
Due to the rarity of beads of this size and quality, this is a commission-only piece. I created the set pictured for a private customer in San Francisco, after working with her on the design. I would be delighted to work with you to customize your own Sleeping Beauty jewels.
The finished necklace can be as long as you wish, although the pricing indicated is for a piece of up to 18". If you prefer something longer, please let me know and I will provide you with an estimate. In order to begin the process of creating your jewel, I require a deposit of 50% of the final estimated total. Sales tax will be charged upon completion at 8.5% for all California residents.
As I must order these stones from the cutter, please allow for up to six weeks between deposit and completion, with the understanding that should the raw of this quality be unavailable within that six week period, your deposit will be refunded. Likewise, if you are unsatisfied with the stones before I begin creating the finished necklace, you may cancel your commission. However, your cancellation must occur either at the time you view the stones (if you are local to San Francisco) or within 48 hours of receiving comprehensive photographs of your stones via email from me.
Know that you will be commissioning heirloom jewelry, and that I will work with you to ensure your love of your set If you are interested, please contact me via email or telephone so that we may begin exploring possibilities.
