Gorgeous piece! Solid sterling silver open salt comprised of a shell resting atop a fierce dolphin, riding the sea. The interior of the shell is washed with gold. Superb artistry. A heavy highly decorative piece, perfect for display on a desktop.

Please see photos for dimensions and marks. The master smith is Morand, and the salt weighs a hefty 15 troy ounces! Not sure of the age; likely late 1800's early 1900's.
