Pair Antique Limoges Cabinet Plates Hand Painted Gilt Violets!

This is a beautiful pair of cabinet plates, in very fine condition. Both bear Limoges marks, one GDF the other Haviland. The plates are identical, a white ground with a wide gilt band and four sprays of violets. The violets stem from the center of the plate, culminating in a glorious floral display within the gilt band. An unusual and sublime work of artistry. One of the plates bears the artist's initials.
