SOLD Elegant Antique French Sterling Silver Crumb Tray: Cardeilhac

This superb sterling silver crumb tray is elegantly decorated with Louis XVI style shells, scrolling acanthus, floral accents and laurel fronds with berries. There is strapping around the central cartouche which has NO monogram! At the end of the handle, the handle "branches out" with a leafy edge attaching to the tray. Condition is very good. Some surface wear, one shallow scratch. Quite a nice touch of class to add to your fine dining service!

The crumb tray was made by Armand-Edouard Cardielhac, certainly one of the most prestigious names in fine French silver. Perhaps most notable as silversmith to Napoleon III. Certainly a regal tray! I am including a small sterling silver covered brush at no additional cost. This is simply for your convenience. Normally, this sort of tray does not come with a brush; but I found one for those who prefer to use a brush.
