Here is another item belonging to my friend. It is an antique Wedgwood biscuit jar, in excellent condition and dating to the mid to late 1800's. Since 'England" and 'Made in England' do not appear among the marks, it must date before 1890; my sense is that this piece was made about 1869. It is decorated with four putto, each representing one of the seasons, in addition to two tall classical female figures and two trees. A lovely piece for your collection!
