This is simply the most delicate, feminine and beautiful little candle holder I have ever seen. It certainly well expresses the spirit of the Art Nouveau genre. The little silver roses seem to defy gravity. Excellent craftsmanship. Part of it's charm is it's size, so perfect for a little girl's bedroom! I will always remember and treasure the little antiques my grandmother got for my bedroom when I was a small child. I still have them! Someone surely treasured this little jewel in order for it to remain so well preserved and yet so delicate across it's century plus lifetime! This candlestick's mother of pearl base is 4" in diameter, the entire piece sits 2" high. There are some minor losses to the roses. Since the roses are in a spray it is difficult to detect the losses. There is also a wisp of a hairline on the bottom of the mother of Pearl base. I try to provide a photo; but it's hard to see. A nice feature of the candlestick : there is a silver inset for candles. This easily comes out in order to either put a candle in or remove a candle without damaging the delicate structure.
