This is a cardboard box marked “FIELD KITS FOR MEDICAL AIDES”. It is also marked with contents “BANDAGES, DRESSINGS, PENCIL, SAFETY PINS, SCISSORS, SKIN PENCIL, SPLINT, SURGICAL SPONGES, CASUALTY TAGS, TOURNIQUET” and “ADHESIVE PLASTER”. The box measures approx. 22” by 16” and is 5 ½ “ deep. It is not complete. Most of the containers are still sealed. Two “JOHNSON & JOHNSON DALLAS, TEXAS COMPRESS AND BANDAGE, GAUZE FIELD 22 X 18 INCHES” has “U.S. Contract OIN-38030 1952”. Another big Dressing is from Millburn Mills, Inc. Another sealed item in torn top cardboard box is a “DYED STERILIZED DRESSING” from ACME COTTON PRODUCTS. There are 3 smaller boxes with “Bandage, Muslin, Triangular, Compresses, Camouflaged” from Lily White Sales Co. Three other boxes have Gauze Bandage from Physicians and Surgeons. A pack of Atlas Guarded Coil pins are included. The pencil is from AMERICAN PENCIL CO. NEW YORK. The tourniquet has instructions tag sewn on it. The can of RED CROSS ADHESIVE TAPE from Johnson & Johnson has tape that has a dried out outer layer. There is only one wood splint. It is Korean War Era in good condition for collecting, use, re-enactors or display. The box has some stains and wear. There are 9 pictures for viewing.
