2 Old Cooper Barrel Making Chisel Tools Woodworking Cutting Framing

This is a selection of 2 old Push Scrapers or bent frame chisel tools purchased at a farm barn sale. They have rounded wide wood handle ends for pushing. Both have chisel type knife ends for scraping, carving or forming wood. I was unable to find them in my tool books or on an Internet search. I later found a tool dealer who had some and was informed they were used by a Cooper or Barrel Maker. Both blades are 2” across with one straight and the other rounded. One is 16” long and the other 17 ½ “. The wood has chips and cracks. The metal has rust and pitting. There are no visible manufacturer marks. They have a 4 and a 4 ½ “ bend area and may have been used as scraper, plane or for carving. They are used in good condition for collecting, use or display. There are 9 pictures for viewing.
