Hand Painted 3 Piece Hard Plastic Kitchen Set in Box - Novelties Inc.

This yellow 1950s kitchen set is complete and in excellent condition. It appears to be never used. The set is made of Polystyrene. It consist of a salt shaker, pepper shaker and a covered utility (sugar) canister. Each piece is decorated with a hand painted flower. With the lid the canister is approximately 4-1/2" tall. The shakers measure 3-1/2" tall and both have the stoppers. They are shaped to wrap around the utility jar. They are marked on the bottom PLASTIC NOVELTIES INC. L.A. CALIF, MADE IN U.S.A. There is no damage to any piece, no chips and no cracks. The colors are bold and bright with no fading. The painted design is fully intact. The box is also in good condition but does have some discoloration and wear. The box shows a red set on the front but the end of the box states STYLE No. 354 YELLOW. This set is pictured on page 252 of "Spiffy Kitchen Collectibles" by Brian Alexander. Buyer pays shipping and insurance for a 2 pound package sent from NY 14873.
