Clear Glass Crystal 8 Sided Door Knob Handles in Brass with Steel Stem Skeleton Key Plates & Lock 1896

This is a set or pair of antique round clear glass handles that have 8 side facets and top edges. They are in brass housings. It has a 3 ¾" long rusted center spindle. They are used with wear, scratches and tarnish. There is a chip on the edge of one handle seen in the last picture. This handle marked “RUSSELL & ERWIN MFG. CO. NEW BRITAIN CT. U.S.A. PAT. OCTO. 12, 86 FEB. 18, 96” is solid on the spindle. The other one is different and screws on to the spindle. There are the face plates with 4 screw and skeleton key openings. They are brass plated steel with paint and surface rust spots. They do not match the key hole on the center mechanism. The center lock mechanism works but there is no skeleton key for the dead bolt part. They are in good condition for collecting, use or display. They need cleaning and polish.
