Ice Fishing Brass Reel Tip Up & 25” Gaff Fish Hook

This is a selection of vintage sport fishing items that were purchased together. The black painted wood Tip-Up has a unmarked heavyweight brass reel that is 2 ½ “ across and has a 1 ½ “ opening for the line. It has a brass or copper tube with a brass wire in it. The long flat metal piece that holds frayed cloth flag is steel. This flat piece has some surface rust. Closed it is 18” long. I am not sure how it works as it is a different style than normal. It has some wear from use but is in good condition for collecting, use or display. With it is a GAFF for pulling in the fish. The metal appears to be brass for salt water fishing as a magnet does not stick, and the point is sharp. It has a 16 ½ “ by 1” OD Olive Drab green wood handle. Overall it is 25 ½ “ long.
