Please take a look at the enlarged versions of the photographs to get an idea of the beauty and workmanship of this dress. Please also note that the dress is shown on my size XS mannequin and will be less revealing on a body that fills it out.
As indicated by the labels, this is a Tadashi dress which was sold in the chic high end Lillie Rubin boutiques.
This dress is very fitted and body conscious as it is made of a stretch knit made of 79% polyester and 21% lycra.
The front and black of the fitted bodice is black stretch net with the front bodice being embellished with prong set rhinestone studs. The sculptured and padded shoulders are embellished with white satin ribbon beautifully worked into an abstract soutache design as pictured. The shoulder pads are stitched in my hand and are easily removable.
The long straight skirt is beautifully draped at the dropped waist as pictured. The skirt comes to a slightly tulip shaped hemline with a sexy front walking slit as pictured.
Zips up the center back with a well working 20" nylon zipper.
Store label ~ "Lillie Rubin" with "Tadashi" ribbons inside.

A brief history of Tadashi is:
"Tadashi Shoji was born in Japan and went to Los Angeles Trade Technical School. There he discovered his passion for fashion design and got the opportunity to help design costumes with Bill Whitton for some of the most flamboyant music stars of the period such as Elton John, Stevie Wonder, and Neil Diamond. He started his own line of evening gowns, cocktail dresses, and other party wear after seeing that the market lacked special occasion garments for women at affordable prices. In 1982 upscale retailers Bergdorf Goodman and Saks Fifth Avenue picked up his line and his pieces continue to be sold in various upscale retailers worldwide." A brief history of Lillie Rubin is:
"Lillie Rubin was founded in 1946 in Miami, Florida. They are a specialty clothing chain, selling primarily special occasion and evening dresses...." Courtesy Vintage Fashion Guild Label Resource.
