From Catseye Vintage is this stunning maxi dress by designer Krist of San Francisco. Circa 1960s or early 1970s.

Krist was the premium line of Alice Polynesian Clothing of San Francisco, California.

Please take a look at the larger picture views to see the beauty of the fabric and design of this dress.

The dress is clipped to my size 0-2 mannequin.

Fitted and darted bodice with a crossed over front and plunging v neckline edged with solid turquoise blue cotton barkcloth piping as pictured. Fitted waist and maxi length a-line skirt with two front pleats as pictured. There are 17" finished walking slits hidden inside the pleats at the bottom of the skirt.

Raglan style bracelet length sleeves with no armhole seams as pictured.

Comes complete with original 2" wide self-fabric buckle belt.

Zips up the center back with a 21-1/2" nylon zipper.

Medium weight textured cotton barkcloth ~ stunning geometrical horizontal border print in shades of turquoise, purple, teal blue, lime green, and gold as pictured. There are wonderful triangles, circles and squares as pictured.

DESIGNER LABEL ~ "Krist San Francisco" ~ I have been unable to locate any information on this designer and believe this was a small boutique label. This beauty came from an estate of a wealthy woman who lived her entire life in San Francisco, California.

CONDITION:

Excellent vintage condition ~ no odors, holes, stains, snags, pills, rips, discoloration, or fading.

Gently worn and well cared for.

Freshly cleaned and ready to wear.

I'd say this would best fit a modern medium or smallish large, but please go by the measurements below leaving room for fit and comfort.

MEASUREMENTS:

Shoulders/Sleeves: 23" neckline to cuff on each side

Bust: 38" ~ measured underarm to underarm

Waist: 32"

Hips: 44" ~ measured 9" below natural waist

Bottom Sweep: 55" Around

Bodice Length: 17-1/2" ~ shoulder to waist

Skirt Length: 41" ~ waist to hem (with 17" walking slits)

Belt: Adjusts from 31-1/2" to 34" x 2" Wide
