Please take a look at the larger versions of the pictures to get an idea of the beauty of the fabric, workmanship and design of this lovely dress.
The dress is clipped onto my size 0-2 mannequin.
This dress is beautiful ~ exquisite silk faille watercolor pastel floral fabric in shades of pink, periwinkle, taupe, green, yellow and ivory is worked into a lovely fitted bodice with a modified sweetheart neckline and a horizontal bust dart for a perfect fit. The bodice is lined with yellow silk.
The skirt is a work of art ~ there are two tiered, layered, and scalloped peplums and a scalloped bottom hemline ~ The inner layers that are unseen on the outside are yellow silk so the peplums don't add bulk to the skirt.
The skirt has two vertical darts and is lightly gathered at the front waist. The back of the skirt is NOT gathered and has four vertical darts for a perfect fit.
The dress zips up center back with a well working 21" nylon zipper.
Classic New Look styling with beautifully fitted bodice, nipped waist and sexy fitted wiggle skirt.
CONDITION:
Near mint ~ excellent vintage condition with no issues ~ No stains, odors, discoloration, fading, rips, holes, or tears.

Freshly dry cleaned and ready to wear.

A brief history of Pat Premo is:
"Pat Premo was one of the California labels that blossomed in the 1940s. Premo was a native Californian, and she started her design career in Los Angeles at Peggy Hunt in the 1930s. She went to Marjorie Montgomery in 1936, which was bought a few years later by Bill Schminke. He and Premo were later married, and the "Pat Premo" label was launched as the chief label in the company. She was known for her use of unique fabrics and prints, and also for her golf dresses and sportswear. The label lasted into the 1970s." ~ Courtesy Vintage Fashion Guild Label Resource
