This dazzling piece of antique Wedgwood pottery dates to the late 1800's or early 1900's and is from their Queens ware line. It is decorated with a purple or Mulberry transfer pattern (a little lighter in color than it may appear in the photo's) of a bouquet of flowers with flowers and insects flitting around the rim. The rim also has a raised basket weave design. The back ground is a rich and creamy color, one might even call it Ivory. Just wonderful!.
The back of this piece is marked "Gillman Collamore & Co, Fifth Avenue & 30th St, New York" Which would have been the shop that was selling this item one assumes. Beneath this it is marked "Wedgwood, Etruruia England, Importe D Angleterre"
This stunning oval serving bowl has no chips, nicks or cracks but there is some all over light crazing. It measures 10" long, 8 1/4" wide and 2" tall.
