Exquisite European Antique Gilded Crystal Trinket Box or powder Jar.

This stunning piece of European history is a wonderful square crystal box which is gilded with scrolls and flowers in a gold colored hand painted decoration on the lid and sides. Dating to the Victorian era the origins of this piece are hard to pin down. All the indicators are that it is of European origin but the refined touches such as the beveled corners and mirror smooth base indicate that it would have been produced in France.

In good condition the box measures 4 1/4" square and 2 1/4" tall. It does have 3 tiny nicks and one small chip on the inside rim, but these are not noticeable when the lid is on at all and do not detract from the stunning beauty of the piece.

A perfect addition to a collection or home this piece would make a wonderful vessel for nuts or candies or an exquisite decorative accent to any room.
