I'm pleased to offer you this stunning imitation Colonial era art glass, hand blown, Amethyst bottle which was most likely produced by Jamestown of West Virginia. It is a stunning piece of hand crafted art glass which was produced using the techniques of centuries old glass blowers. The color is simply fantiastic with it's rich and deep purple hue. It measures 8 1/2" tall and 5 1/2" in diameter. In excellent condition it has a smidgen of wear from age but no chips, nicks or cracks at all.

This simply fantastic example of mid century West Virginia art glass was produced circa 1950's or 1960's by one of the top Glass Houses of the era. I've been unable to definitively identify the maker but there is a very similar piece shown in the Crackle Glass book and listed as a Bischoff piece. On the other hand Blenko and I think also Rainbow were both known to make pieces with this ball topped flame stopper shape so they are also possible manufacturers of this piece.
