SOLD Vintage Sterling Silver Gold Wash Synthetic Sapphire Color Changing Huge Stone Ring

This is a spectacular ring. The stone has been jeweler verified as a synthetic sapphire- what is often for used and called a synthetic alexandrite. The stone is huge measuring 1 and 1/16 inches by 3/4 inches across the face. I took lots of pictures to show the color change in different lighting but this ring is even more stunning in person. It sits nice and high on your hand ( 1/2 inches high - setting and stone side measurement). It is a size 8 and 1/4. The ring is sterling with a gold wash. The sterling mark is followed by a conjoined JP. I show several jewelers used this mark and this may be the mark of Phillips Jewelers. The ring changes from pink to purple sometimes displaying blue tones. I could not get it in the right light but at times it turns a deep fuschia. The stone is in excellent condition - please ignore shadows and reflections caused by my lighting. I don't think the gold wash is a bright as it once may have been but this is age expected. I have not attempted to clean the sterling.
