Large beautiful and bold vintage Barclay ring. The company was in business in the 1940s and 50s. The face of the ring is large measuring 1 and 1/4 by 1 inch. The ring is adjustable but currently set at a size 9. Condition is excellent other than needs a little bit more of a cleaning that I gave it. It looks prettier in person.

I have researched this ring and with the making and style, would have dated it as Georgian if not for the mark. The mark and usage of 9 ct gold was not approved in 1854. Beautiful sash pin with Stieff Rose repousse art work. The pin is not marked but has tested as sterling. It is not flat and has nice curvature and measures 3 and 1/2 inches by 2 and 3/4 inches. The patina is old and uneven and really adds to the look and I have not attempted to clean the piece. Condition is excellent.The edges look uneven but I think this is how it was tooled.

While the piece itself is coin silver or higher, the hook is not - it looks to be copper - more so than brass to me but I am not sure as it is hard to tell with the heavy patina. In the outside light it looks a little more coppery in areas. It measures 3 and 1/4 inches by 2 and 1/4 inches. The back has the roughness of sand cast. It has nice weight at 48.3 grams.
