In remembrance of the assassination of President McKinley in 1901, this oval platter was produced in 1901. The oval platter has a full length portrait of the President in the center on a stippled background. Above and below the portrait are the words "It is God's Way" above and "His Will Be Done" below. The years of birth and death of the president are also on either side of the figure. The rim of the platter is a laurel wreath with a single flower at the bottom center. This plate is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. .
