SALE Amber Bakelite Crucifix

This vintage crucifix is made of lovely amber marbelized bakelite. The crucifix measures 5 3/4 inches long by 3 5/8 inches wide. The Christ figure and the INRI above the Christ figure are white metal with a yellow metal overlay. There is considerable wear on the INRI and much more minor gold wear on the Christ figure. The reverse has a single screw fixing the Christ figure and a second smaller screw that fixes the INRI and a small wall hanger to the bakelite cross. The hardware appears to be original and aged. The Christ figure and the INRI are tightly affixed. The cross is delicately scrolled in contour. There are no chips or cracks or repairs present. This is a lovely old item which I would date to the 1930's-1940's. If you collect bakelite or religious items this is a wonderful item that you should not miss!!
