The telephone number on the front would date this item to the late 1920's to 1930's with a two letter exchange or prefix and 4 numbers. The blotter has not been used and is in very good condition. The picture of a bouquet of tulips on the front is marked copyright The Gerlach-Barklow Company, Joliet, Illinois and below the picture there is a poem advertising the funeral home. Unused advertising blotters are increasingly difficult to find.
