Westmoreland Cold Painted Milk Glass Plate with Violets

This lovely cold painted milk glass plate was produced by Westmoreland Glass Co in the early 1900's. They produced a variety of milk white glass novelty plates. This plate is just under 8 1/2 inches in diameter. The lacy pierced edge is cold painted with gold accenting and the edge could be embellished with ribbon lacing through the pierced edge. The plain center is hand painted with a dainty nosegay of violets. The overall paint is remarkably intact on the violets and on the edges. There are no cracks or chips. The back is impressed with the numbers 202. This is a lovely plate that could adorn the walls of a powder room, a little girl's room, a baby's room or just about anywhere that you want a dainty feminine decoration.
