This old Early American Pattern Glass Cake Stand is simple but elegant in design. It is the Connecticut pattern that is part of the US Glass States Series c. 1898. It was produced by US Glass (King). The pattern is also known as US Glass #15068. The pedestal base is joined to the plate by a wafer. The wafer is slightly uneven and the mold lines on the base do not cross the wafer. There is some surface wear from use on the plate portion of the stand. There is a small chip on the interior bottom of the base. There are two tiny pits on the plate and one on the base. There are air bubbles characteristic of old glass throughout the stand. The plate is heavy and substantial. It stands 5 1/2" high and the plate is 10 1/2 inches in diameter. A fine, simple old glass cake stand that would make your favorite cake (even if from a mix) an elegant dessert!!
