SOLD Pink Depression Glass Butter Dish Cover Hazel Atlas

This rectangular butter cover is made for a matching base (which I do not have). The words "Butter Cover" are embossed in a rectangle on the top of the lid. The base of the cover measures 6 inches long by 3 9/16 inches wide and the cover is 2 1/2 inches in height. The entire butter dish for this cover is shown in Gene Florence's Kitchen Glassware of the Depression Era and attributed to Hazel Atlas Glass Co. There is a small chip on the outside bottom corner of the lid which is barely noticeable. There is discernable roughness on the interior edges of the cover and also some tiny irregularities on the exterior edges. All in all, a very well preserved piece of old glass ----and PINK, too!
