The back is unused, but the card has been glued into an album at some point in the past and there are areas of adherent black album paper on the reverse.

A nice postcard study of early 20th century transportation.

There is a cherub of scrap added to the velvet background and the words "A Happy Birthday" are embossed yellow metal glued to the background. So that makes 4 material add-ons to make this one post card.

This lovely picture of a bouquet of trumpet lilies and foliage is printed on a cabinet card style matting. There is no signature on the card and there is nothing on the reverse side. The card is in very good condition. The graphics are bright and pleasing. There is no damage. This is another of the printed pictures that were mixed in with postcards in an early 1900's postcard album. A very lovely image.

The Manitou and Pike's Peak Railway was opened in 1891 and this card shows the early engine that was used in the cog wheel train that took passengers to the top of Pike's Peak in Colorado. The Manitou and Pike's Peak railway changed to a gasoline powered engine in 1930. This card is an early 1900's divided back card that shows engine #1 of the steam era. Engine #1 is now displayed in Golden, Colorado. Condition is good.

This unused postcard shows the narrow gauge passenger train from the Denver and Rio Grande line. The Durango to Silverton "Varnish Haul" was the line's last regularly scheduled passenger train and became a great tourist attraction. The card is in very good condition and was a part of a series of cards that were together in perforated "tear apart" fashion. This card has been neatly and carefully separated from its companions.

This full color full page advertisement is from the December 1929 issue of The Modern Priscilla. The ad is for Diamond Walnuts. The page is 10 1/8 x 14 inches and has at least 1/4 inch all around for matting. There is minor foxing along the edges, but this would still frame and display very nicely.

A demure little girl stands under the mistle toe while a little boy toys with the tempation before him. There is a candle and ornament decorated Christmas tree in the background. The card has the message "Best Christmas Wishes." The card is unused. It has been in an album and the back shows light fading from areas where there has been light exposure in spite of the album.

This post card is a John Winsch design that was copyrighted in 1913. This Christmas card has an unusual theme that shows a vase with mistletoe. There is a pink ribbon in the upper right corner and the vase and mistletoe berries are enhanced with coralene and small colored discs that reflect in the light. The card is addressed and has a brief holiday message on the reverse, but it is not postmarked. Post Cards with add-ons are unusual and sought after for collections.

This real photo postcard is unused. The photo shows a woman with a large flock of geese. The back of the card is marked Post Card Brownie Souvenir and in the upper left hand corner of the back of the card is a Palmer Cox Brownie. These Brownie Souvenir cards are smaller than a normal post card, measuring only 2 5/8 x 4 1/4 inches.
