Glass:Early American Pattern Glass:Milk White Glass

This 7 1/4" diameter milk glass plate is rimmed with a pierced design of fleur-de-lis. The border is cold painted with gold and the center of the plate is painted with pansies. The paint loss is minimal and the gold is about 90% intact. There is an internal fracture line that is visible along the edge of the pierced work on the back. This old milk glass plate displays very nicely. There are no other blemishes or cosmetic problems with this plate.

This 8 1/4" milk glass plate has an ornate edging of scrollwork with a pierced border. This old plate has a gold "Goofus" cold paint treatment that has significantly been lost over the years. Many of these plates made with pierced edges were also decorated with ribbon running through the openwork. There are no chips or cracks present and there are no marks on the plate to provide any attribution.
