This hand beaded pillow is made of velvet on the top wih an intricate seed bead tubular bead design. There is an oilcloth back that has long ago been mended with some tape. There has been loss of some of the beads, particularly on the fragile loops that dangle from the edges of the cushion. This cushion measures 7 inches long by 6 1/2 inches wide. On the reverse side of the pillow, the hand stitching of the pillow is seen.

This very large applique is a beaded butterfly. The butterfly is covered with black seed beads, bugle beads and sequins over a lace wing and stuffed cloth body. The body is 4 inches in length and the wing span of the applique is 7 inches at its widest. All of the beading is hand done. The applique is completely intact and there are no missing beads that I can find.
