Antiques:Hair Ornaments, Combs And Sticks

This white metal ornamental pin for the hair has a simple filigree flower at the end. It is a Japanese Kanzashi or hair pin. The pin is 10 1/2 inches in length (13.5 cm). The ornamental end of the pin has a small flattened spoon-like handle which is an ear spoon. I was provided with some history for these hair pin/ear spoon combinations by a wonderful customer browsing through Ruby Lane.
