Diamond Quilted "FLAT DIAMOND" blue sherberts

This is a beautiful, rare blue sherbet made by the Imperial Glass Company. Imperial produced these from the late 1920's through the early 1930". The blue color is one of the more difficult colors to find in this pattern according to the Florence glass book. This sherbet is 3 3/8" tall; it is 4 1/8" wide at the mouth. The clear blue, base is footed and 2 ¾" wide. The stem has three separate, bulbous circles gracing it. The color of the sherbet is a sharp, clear, almost pastel blue. The cup of the sherbet has the diamond pattern from the base up to a half-inch from the top, which clear blue glass. Each of the diamonds ends with a sharp point. This pattern can be confused with the Hazel Atlas pattern. On the Hazel Atlas pattern, the points end in an even line. The diamond pattern makes an obvious depression in the inside of the sherbet, but the outside is smooth. This would brighten up any table, or just add an accent color to any collection.
