This pair of earrings is similar (but certainly not identical) to a pair that sold some time back. I told my customer at the time she purchased the original pair that there would be another because they were designed to match my necklace listed here in my shop as item no. 0807-021. I used prakeuam silver diamonds with an embossed floral motif with tiny lapis lazuli beads above and below. From these components I dangled more lapis beads and wood beads along with a length of sterling silver chain. From the chain I wired bayong wood coins topped with lapis beads and a sterling silver fan from the Karen Hill Tribe silversmiths of Thailand.

The wonderful Sinarin silver bead is of a style known as prakeuam and is completely handmade by descendants of Cambodian silver and gold smiths that immigrated to Thailand several hundred years ago. The silver is 95% silver—a higher silver content than sterling which is hammered into a thin sheet, cut to the desired shape, inscribed and then hand formed around a tree resin taken from pine trees. Finally, the beads are oxidized to darken the pattern.

There earrings have an exotic flair and sway 3 inches below sterling silver ear wires.
