This Italian portrait cameo from the 60's is carved from carnelian shell. The lady is carved in flapper (depiction of the 1920's) style with a flower in her hair and on her shoulder. She is bezel set in a very pretty and ornate solid 10K (stamped) yellow gold setting with a locking c-clasp for the brooch pin and a fold-down hide-away bail for use as a necklace pendant. This cameo is in mint perfect original condition.

The cameo in the setting measures 1 3/4" by 1 1/2", not including the bail, and the cameo alone is 1 3/8" by 1 ". She weighs a notable 9.1 grams.

She is one of our more affordable cameos, but definitely not lacking in quality. The carving is very nice and the setting is exquisite. And, unlike many vintage cameos, there is already a pendant bail, so she is ready to wear as a necklace! Just a very lovely cameo for that very lovely lady.
